Important message for people on temporary visas - 15 April 2020

The Australian Red Cross has posted information regarding news of funding from the Australian Government. This funding has been promised for the delivery of services for their emergency and casework support for people on temporary visas, for the next six months. We encourage people to read this information before contacting the Red Cross.

DAILY PRAYERS & NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER, AMIDST COVID-19

On Tuesday 17 March the NCCA sent a letter to Australian Church Leaders inviting us into an opportunity to unite in prayer amidst rising rates of COVID-19 infection. We encourage all our Christian brothers, sisters and friends to take up this offer.

At the Annual General Meeting on 30 October 2019, The Interim General Secretary, Ms Liz Stone, presented an Annual Review for 2018-2019 relating to the activities and programs of the National Council of Churches in Australia.

“Truth, Unity and Reconciliation” was the theme for a national meeting of Sudanese and South Sudanese women leaders in Canberra at the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture on 29-30 March. 

The NCCA stands in solidarity with the grieving and shocked in the wake of the attacks at two Mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand on Friday 15 March, 2019.

Our prayers are with the Islamic community in New Zealand, here in Australia and throughout the world. We stand together to show our resilience and strength in the face of hate and violence. 

NCCA is committed to the safety of children and vulnerable adults in our community and those that participate in our churches’ activities.
