Concerned Australians express support

An open letter was delivered to the Prime Minister on 4 September 2018 urging Parliamentarians to work collaboratively to see the Modern Slavery Bill through to enactment in 2018.

Leaders of civil society, faith-based organisations, business, investors, and academics have expressed their support for the Modern Slavery Bill 2018, acknowledging the goodwill, time and effort contributed by stakeholders to see the bill introduced.

Dear Prime Minister,

RE: Modern Slavery Bill 2018

As leaders of civil society, business, investors, academics and faith-based organisations,
we write to share with you our strong support for the Modern Slavery Bill 2018.
We support a unified approach in addressing modern slavery and believe meaningful
improvement for individuals affected by slavery requires a collaborative effort between
government, business, and civil society....
