The Victorian Council of Churches (VCC) invites you to a gathering which will include stories from the World Council of Churches (WCC), local ecumenism networks and the launch of the Christmas Bowl.
The program will be updated on the VCC website. It will include the following:
- A reflection on the World Council of Churches Assembly in Karlsruhe, Germany, with guest Emily Evans (pictured on right), who has been on the WCC Executive Committee for 9 years, and John Gilmore (Churches of Christ Minister and WCC Assembly delegate).
- A short VCC 'business' meeting to formally approve a new member church and welcome several new affiliate organisations, and other matters. The agenda and information will be circulated to VCC delegates prior to the meeting.
- Stories from local ecumenism networks.
- Update about Act for Peace and launch of Christmas Bowl (please bring the bowl your congregation will use for Christmas Bowl this year)
When: Wednesday 23 November 6:30 pm for 7:00 - 9:00 pm
Where: Welsh Church offices, 1st Floor, 312 La Trobe St, Melbourne
Doors will open at 6pm. Refreshments will be served from 6.30pm, and the program will begin at 7pm. There will be a number of stalls to explore beforehand.
