Australian Churches Refugee Taskforce

Thank you for your advocacy.

Thank you for your help in gaining signatures for the open letter. There were more than 70 prominent signatories from health, business, and aid.

The open letter has been released in the media today as a feature on ABC AM and more broadly through the #ENDCOVIDFORALL media release

It would be wonderful if you could share, you can re-tweet here.

The letter will be circulated to Ministers and department officials today, 18 February 2022. Please feel free to circulate as you wish.

Earlier in the week, two of the signatories, Jane Halton & Professor Brendan Crabb, co-wrote this powerful op-ed as a precursor to the letter.

The Power of Community - creating welcoming communities

This event will explore how effective democracy can support fairer and more positive outcomes for families and children from refugee backgrounds. Focusing on the young men who were detained as children.
