Inquiry into the status of the human right to freedom of religion or belief.

Bishop Philip Huggins, on behalf of the NCCA, recently submitted a paper to The Hon Philip Ruddock, Chair of the Parliamentary Inquiry into the status of the human right to freedom of religion or belief.

The submission aims to re-affirm the importance of religious freedom; the connection between all human rights and the divine purpose; the importance of education and practised living of these matters in contemporary Australia.  It states "...Our Christian belief is that respect for all human rights and recognition of their universality derives from the fact that we are all made in the divine image and cherished by God."
