Working with Children Checks – Do I need one?

YES - if you are in any leadership position, do any work or volunteering that comes into contact with children. Not only do you need a check, it needs to be current and valid.

All organisations for which you work or volunteer need to validate your Check via the appropriate state or territories’ WWCC/WWVP system. 

Every state and territory has a different system, be aware of which one is applicable to you. The ministry leader simply sighting the actual card is not sufficient as your organisation will not be notified of any change of valid status of the check..
