How We Work
The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Week of Prayer for Christian Unity in 2026
2026 Theme: “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling” (Ephesians 4:4)
Churches in the Northern Hemisphere are preparing to mark this week in January 2026. In Australia, and elsewhere around the southern hemisphere, we will mark this week from Sunday 17 – Sunday 24 May 2026.
The World Council of Churches (WCC) resources, prepared in collaboration with the Armenian Apostolic Church, are available to explore in preparation for your event planning.

The Asian Ecumenical Women’s Conference (AEWC), was held recently in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Participants examined critical issues including conflict, shrinking civic space, and digital abuse, highlighting emerging and complex forms of gender-based violence across Asia.
