In preparation for the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence (25 November – 10 December), Queensland Churches Together’s Joint Churches Domestic Violence Prevention Project is pleased to share a new suite of videos, designed to raise awareness of domestic and family violence (DFV) within the church – and to help Christians and church leaders respond appropriately.
At just 2-minutes each, these videos can be played during church services, Bible studies, men’s breakfasts, women’s groups, and senior youth/young adult meetings, or shared in church newsletters and other communications:
- A Victim-survivor story, retold by JCDVPP Chair Carole Danby.
- A message to church leaders, from Moderator of the Uniting Church in Australia Queensland Synod, Rev Bruce Moore.
- A message about behaviour change, presented by Dr Brian Sullivan.
All three videos are available with AUSLAN interpretation and multilingual subtitles in Arabic, Bislama, Dinka, Fijian, Greek, Hakha Chin, Hindi, Korean, Samoan, Simple Chinese, Spanish, Tagalog, Tongan, Traditional Chinese and Vietnamese.
