The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Youth (ACOY) in Victoria joyfully celebrated its 25th Anniversary with a Silver Jubilee Gala Dinner, marking a significant milestone in the life of the youth of the Archdiocese in Victoria. The evening brought together clergy, past and present members, and the wider community in a spirit of thanksgiving, reflection, and celebration.
ACOY Victoria was established in 2001 in response to a growing need to connect Antiochian youth across the state. Since its inception, ACOY has provided a platform for young people to come together in fellowship, deepen their spiritual lives, and build lasting relationships rooted in Christ. Over the past 25 years, its mission has remained centred on fostering unity, nurturing spirituality, and cultivating discipleship among the youth.
The Gala Dinner was honoured by the presence of His Eminence Metropolitan Basilios, Chief Shepherd, whose attendance and pastoral support was a blessing to all in attendance. His Eminence addressed the gathering, offering words of encouragement and reflecting on the importance of youth in the life of the Church, calling them to remain steadfast in their faith and active in their communities.
