How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

As violence escalates in the Middle East, we are deeply concerned for the safety and wellbeing of millions of innocent people who are at grave risk of injury, death and displacement.

Act for Peace stands for peace and the protection of civilians. We urge all parties to prioritise the safety of civilians, uphold international humanitarian law, and work urgently towards de-escalation.

In Lebanon, tens of thousands of people are being forced from their homes as airstrikes and cross-border fighting intensifies. Families are fleeing north with little more than what they can carry, seeking safety in communities already under immense strain.

As violence escalates in the Middle East, we are deeply concerned for the safety and well-being of millions of innocent families who are at grave risk of injury, death and displacement, says Act for Peace CEO, Andrew Hassett.

This escalation in regional conflict comes at a time when the lives of over one million people in Gaza are getting tougher by the day.

In this critical moment for people across the Middle East, we are reminded of our shared humanity, and right now, families urgently need food, safe shelter, medical care and protection.

Through the global ACT Alliance network, Act for Peace is supporting communities responding on the ground.

“Every gift through the emergency appeal will go directly to our trusted local partners working with the ACT Alliance to provide critical emergency support including healthcare, medical supplies, food and shelter,” says Andrew.

But as displacement rises and needs surge, more support is urgently required.

At Act for Peace, we believe that even in the darkest moments, compassion is stronger than fear. Peace is not passive: it is built through courage, partnership and sustained commitment.

Please give urgently to help provide vital humanitarian assistance to people caught in the conflict. Act for peace today by giving to our Emergency Appeal to help local organisations in the Middle East to respond to this humanitarian crisis.
