How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

An historic process is underway to elevate the “Feast of Creation” (or “Feast of Creation in Christ”) to officially become an annual liturgical feast on 1st September in different Church calendars. See the proposal.

After a rich series of ecumenical dialogues in recent years, the Feast is now starting to be implemented in many churches. For example, it will be officially added to the ‘Revised Common Lectionary’ used by many Protestant churches.

This still continues to be a relatively new ecumenical development, so there is a need for more awareness. The World Council of Churches and partner organisations are hosting a webinar about the ecumenical efforts around the elevation of the Feast of Creation on September 1 (or subsequent Sunday) to become a liturgical feast across Christian denominational calendars..

You are invited you to register for the webinar “A New Liturgical Feast, a Gift for the Third Millennium”To be held on March 18-19 over consecutive days to accommodate different time zones.
