The Christian Conference of Asia (CCA) extends prayers and heartfelt condolences in response to the tragic loss of life caused by recent disasters across Asia.

The CCA has expressed deep sorrow and concern over the recent disasters across Asia, which have claimed hundreds of lives, displaced millions, and left countless people in urgent need of help.
Across the region, communities are grappling with the impact of ongoing floods, landslides, fires, and typhoons.
In Indonesia, floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra have affected thousands of families, killing at least 69 people, with many still missing, and leaving entire communities cut off.
Similar devastation has been felt in Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and the Philippines.
We pray for the safety, resilience, and perseverance of rescue personnel, volunteers, and emergency workers who continue to respond to floods, landslides, and fires. Whether searching through rivers, landslide debris, or collapsed and burning buildings, they face immense danger in inaccessible and harsh conditions. May they be granted strength, protection, and unwavering resolve in their vital humanitarian mission. Dr Mathews George Chunakara, General Secretary, CCA
