The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

SNAICC Media Release: Key outcomes for children are going backwards

As National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day approaches on 4 August 2025, the SNAICC Media Release looks at the worsening critical outcomes for children outlined in the latest Closing the Gap annual data report from The Productivity Commission.

Catherine Liddle, CEO of SNAICC  National Voice for our Children, said these results point to a lack of government follow-through, not a lack of solutions.

“Closing the gap starts with our children and that means investing in quality, culturally strong early education and care, and systems that support families rather than continue cycles of removal and criminalisation.” Catherine Liddle
