MEDIA RELEASE – 18 June 2025
The Catholic Alliance for People Seeking Asylum (CASPA) urges the Australian Government to ensure the safely and well being of all people who have sought asylum in Australia. They have released this statement during Refugee Week as a timely call for Federal Government to do more.
“This year’s Refugee Week theme, Finding Freedom: Diversity in Community, encourages us to reflect on stories of people leaving their homes in fear of harm and persecution and be resolute in our responsibility to welcome them with open arms to live safe and free lives,” says Jesuit Social Services Acting CEO Michael Livingstone.
