How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

New safeguarding resources

Queensland Family & Child Commission (QFCC) has released resources on the new guidelines for child safety standards and self-assessment toolkit

The Child Safe Organisations Act 2024 (the Act) commences from 1 October 2025, in a phased implementation approach. Organisations that are deemed ‘child safe entities’ will be required to meet obligations and work towards compliance.

To assist organisations, the QFCC has developed two resources: the ‘Guidelines for Implementing the Universal Principle and Child Safe Standards’ (the Guidelines) and a ‘Self-Assessment Tool’ (the Tool). These documents are now publicly available on the QFCC website:

Please share the Guidelines and Tool with organisations in your sector.
