How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

UCA marking 7 years of the National Apology to Victims and Survivors of Child Sexual Abuse

The Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) Assembly has released a liturgy and a statement from President Rev Charissa Suli to mark this Anniversary.

Wednesday 22 October marks the seventh anniversary of the National Apology to Survivors of Institutional Child Sexual Abuse. This anniversary offers a moment to reaffirm the Uniting Church’s apology to survivors, reflect on the injustices of the past, and renew their commitment to creating and maintaining safe spaces throughout the Church.

Loving and faithful God,
We come before you with heavy hearts,
remembering children and young people who were harmed within institutions
that should have been places of safety, care and nurture.

The UCA invite you to read the President’s statement and to download the Liturgy of Acknowledgement and Lament.
