Prayer led by Bishop Daniel [Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Church – Diocese of Sydney and its Affiliated Regions]
- Prayer For Inner Peace: (L)
Gracious God, in the quiet of this moment, we seek Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Calm the storms within our own heart, the anxiety, fear, and anger. Help us to become an instrument of Your peace. May the tranquillity we find in You be the first step toward bringing peace to the world around us, especially to those suffering in places like Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Armenia, Egypt, and other troubled regions. Amen.
Lord Have Mercy. {All} - Prayer For Peace in Families & Relationships: (L)
Lord of reconciliation, we pray for peace in our homes and between all people. Where there is hurt, bring healing. Where there is misunderstanding, bring clarity and compassion. Strengthen the bonds of love that overcome division. We particularly pray for families in Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Armenia, Egypt, and other regions torn apart by conflict; protect them, reunite them, and be their shelter. Amen.
Lord Have Mercy. {All} - Prayer For Peace in Communities: (L)
Heavenly Father, we lift up our local communities and every community worldwide. Where there is tension, poverty, or injustice, sow seeds of cooperation, generosity, and fairness. Raise up wise and compassionate leaders. We pray for the communities across Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Armenia, Egypt, and other troubled regions; grant them resilience and solidarity amidst unthinkable hardship. Amen.
Lord Have Mercy. {All} - Prayer For Peace in regions torn apart by war: (L)
Merciful God, we cry out to You for the people of Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Armenia, Egypt, and other troubled regions; we pray for an immediate and lasting ceasefire. Sovereign Lord, You created all nations from one source. We pray for peace in the halls of power and diplomacy. May the global community act with courage and conscience to support peace, in every nation at war. Amen.
Lord Have Mercy. {All} - Prayer For Peace for the Displaced & Refugees: (L)
God of the journey, You were a refugee in Egypt and other countries. We hold before You all who are forced to flee their homes, millions from Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Armenia and Egypt and elsewhere. Provide them with safety, sustenance, and welcome. Comfort them in their loss and trauma. Move the hearts of nations and individuals to offer refuge and hope. Amen.
Lord Have Mercy. {All} - Prayer For Peace Through Justice: (L)
God of righteousness, true peace is built on justice. We pray for an end to oppression, exploitation, and inequality that fuel conflict. Defend the cause of the marginalized. Grant wisdom to those building fair institutions. For all war-torn lands, let peace be not just the absence of gunfire, but the presence of justice and dignity for all. Amen.
Lord Have Mercy. {All} - Prayer For Peace in Hearts of Leaders: (L)
Almighty God, You hold the hearts of kings in Your hand. We pray for every leader, commander, and influencer in conflict zones, especially in Sudan, Gaza, Lebanon, Ukraine, Armenia, Egypt, soften hearts hardened by pride or ideology. Grant them a vision for peace so compelling that they lay down their weapons. Replace the desire for power with a passion for the people’s welfare. Amen.
Lord Have Mercy. {All} - Prayer For Peacemakers & Humanitarians: (L)
Lord our strength, we thank You for the brave peacemakers, mediators, aid workers, and healers. Surround them with Your protection as they step into danger. Multiply their resources, strengthen their resolve, and crown their efforts with success. Use them as Your hands and feet to bring relief and hope to all countries across the world. Amen.
Lord Have Mercy. {All} - Prayer For Our Own Courage to Act for Peace: (L)
Creator God, You call us to be peacemakers. Move us from prayer to action. Show us how we can support, donate, speak up, and welcome. Help us challenge prejudice and misinformation in our own circles. Make us channels of Your peace in both word and deed, for the sake of our global family in Sudan and everywhere. Amen.
