How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Pope Leo XIV speaks at “Raising Hope for Climate Justice” conference

“We are one family, with one Father,” Pope Leo said, and “we inhabit the same planet and must care for it together.”

Pope Leo spoke on 1 October at the opening session of at the three-day conference organized by the Laudato Si’ Movement. As we near the end of the Season of Creation and approach the feast day of St Francis (4 October), we are remined of the importance of our collective role in caring for our world.

God will ask us if we have cultivated and cared for the world that he created, for the benefit of all and for future generations, and if we have taken care of our brothers and sisters…. What will be our answer?” Pope Leo XIV asked.
