The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Montebello Islands off the Pilbara coast in Western Australia were the site of three British nuclear tests in the 1950s, Recently, a group of artists, writers, researchers, and nuclear survivors travelled to the Montebello Islands to explore the lasting impacts of British nuclear testing there.

During their recent speaking tour to Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney, the NCCA Secretariat hosted an informal lunch with two peacemakers: Ms Riman Barakat and Rabbi Dr Peta Jones-Pellach.

In a few days more than 600 people from around the world will gather in Stockholm, Sweden to mark the 100 year anniversary of the first conference on Life and Work – one of the precursor gatherings to the formation of the World Council of Churches.

Preventing persecution and human rights abuses in the Holy Land
Every day, persecution and human rights abuses destroy people’s lives and fuel conflict in the Holy Land. The Ecumenical Accompaniment Program in Palestine and Israel (EAPPI) helps confront these injustices to pursue a just peace.
