#EndTheWaiting for people seeking asylum in Australia.
Find out how you can help Common Grace in the upcoming Snap Action.
Recently, former Immigration Minister (2020-2022) Alex Hawke MP spoke publicly of the need to end the waiting for thousands of asylum seekers on bridging visas. Now it is up to us to show our support as the Australian Church.
Over 100 days, from August – November, Common Grace and the National Council of Churches are calling Christian communities across Australia to join together in a powerful movement of prayer to #EndTheWaiting for thousands of people who have sought safety on our shores but still remain in limbo, facing an uncertain future.
We are calling on our Common Grace movement to join in #EndTheWaiting prayer vigils as part of a Snap Action from September 1 – 14 – this is a concerted push to make the most of this moment.
To host a prayer vigil:
- You simply need yourself and two others.
- Once registered, we will share your prayer vigil with others in your area.
- Instructions and guidance are in the Organisers Toolkit
Let’s be a Church marked by both prayer and action. Together, let’s lift our voices in faith and love, until the waiting ends.
Will you take part in a vigil Snap Action in your community?
