How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

“In Every Season” – Video

Maybe we don’t have an environmental crisis — but a listening one?

Wisdom is woven through all creation. In every season we’re all called to care for, indeed to love, God’s creation.

Through their recently released video, Common Grace invite us to listen and watch as Uncle Pastor Ray Minniecon shares this ancient wisdom.

Background

Jane Kelly, from the Common Grace team, recently had the privilege of sitting with Uncle Pastor Ray Minniecon, senior Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian leader and someone I have the deepest respect for. When Uncle Ray speaks, I listen.
During this time he shared a story that I haven’t been able to shake since.
Uncle Ray told the story of an anthropologist who went to the Kalahari desert, and met with an Indigenous tribe there. After their interactions, what shocked the tribesmen was that this non-Indigenous anthropologist could not hear the stars singing.
For most of us, the idea of the stars singing might just seem poetic.
But for people who have lived on these lands since the most ancient of days this is about a deeper truth: Everything is connected.

If we can’t hear, we’re the ones at fault, not creation. Uncle Ray,

Watch “In Every Season” right now. Let these powerful words and images wash over you. Let them sink in. And then, this is crucial, please share it with others who need to hear this message.
