How We Work

The NCCA gathers together Churches and Christian communities which confess the Lord Jesus Christ as God and Saviour according to the Scriptures. We commit to deepen our relationship with each other and to work together towards the fulfilment of common witness, proclamation and service, to the glory of the one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Famine has now been officially declared in Gaza, marking an unprecedented point in the humanitarian crisis that the world cannot ignore.

More than half a million people are starving.* That’s a quarter of all Palestinians in Gaza. Children, families, and those suffering from acute malnutrition desperately need food, medical supplies, and safe access to aid.

The needs are beyond comprehension and yet grow worse with every passing day. It’s the first time famine has been declared in the Middle East and the UN-backed hunger monitor group is warning the number could reach 614,000 by the end of September as hunger spreads.

Local organisations on the ground are working tirelessly to support those facing unimaginable suffering, often at great personal risk.

Our locally led approach has meant that people and communities have been supported to help themselves, in the absence of a lasting ceasefire and sufficient aid entering the strip. Our partners have shown incredible adaptability and innovation, including through food, water, medical and shelter support. – Katie Roxburgh, Programme Manager, Israel & the occupied Palestinian territory, Christian Aid.

Your generous support today will help provide vital assistance directly to local partners responding to this crisis through the ACT Alliance.

This is not a distant tragedy, it is a preventable disaster, and your compassion can help save lives.

Together, we can act for peace today, by helping local organisations respond with the care and dignity people deserve.

Please give today to provide vital humanitarian assistance for people starving in Gaza.
