Deloitte Access Economics report

The economic benefits of improving social inclusion - Lifting Australia's living standards -

The recently released Deloitte Access Economics report shows that greater social inclusion could lead to improvement in employment and health outcomes, increased workplace productivity and reduced cost of social services.

Special Broadcasting Service commissioned Deloitte Access Economics to quantify the economic dividend from improving social inclusion in Australia in order to help shape its future policies and strategies for delivering on its Charter.

The result shows that social inclusion plays a critical role in lifting Australia's living standards by spreading the benefits of economic growth across society.

What is the economic dividend from Australia having a more inclusive society? Annually, it is estimated to be $12.7 billion.
