Holding the Light 2021

An Ecumenical service of Lament

Holding the Light is a service to remember victims and survivors of family and domestic violence. 

You are warmly invited to join the ‘Holding the Light’ an Ecumenical service of Lament, held this year at St Peter's Eastern Hill Anglican Church,

This service is held with the aim to stand in solidarity with victims survivors of domestic violence, and to remember those who have been killed as a result of domestic violence in Australia. It takes place during the UN’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence and is an opportunity for leaders, staff and volunteers of social services to gather with others through the community in a time of lament, reflection and prayer. 

It is hoped that in-person attendance will be possible. However, due to the pandemic the service will be live streamed for all who cannot attend in person.

When: Sunday 28 November, 2:30 pm 

Where:  St Peter's Eastern Hill Anglican Church, 15 Gisborne Street, Melbourne VIC. - and online
