ACSL's Safeguarding Leadership Introductory Session is specialist training for religious contexts. This training helps leaders of Churches across Australia situate the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations in the context of practicing ministry, consider strategies to enact the National Principles, and meet with peers from across the denominational spectrum to learn how others are already implementing the Principles.

This session was piloted in 2020 in partnership with the National Council of Churches Safe Church Program. Presented in 2021 by Australian Catholic Safeguarding Ltd, the session shares the lessons and work of the Catholic Church in response to the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations with other Church communities. ACSL's training acknowledges the unique context of Church life and aims to equip leaders with approaches to governance, culture and leadership in safeguarding, which takes this into account.

In 2020, leaders from the Uniting Church, Anglican Church, Baptist Churches, Seventh Day Adventist Church, Lutheran Church, Churches of Christ and the Religious Society of Friends amongst others joined this session and gave the session an overall rating of 4.8 out of 5.
