Pope Francis reflects on Apostolic Visit to the United Arab Emirates

During his General Audience last Wednesday Pope Francis reflected on his Apostolic Visit to the United Arab Emirates on 3-5 February 2019.

Pope Francis'  visit to the predominantly Muslim countriy represents an important opportunity "to advance interreligious dialogue and mutual understanding between the followers of both religions". 2019 marks the eight-hundredth anniversary of the historic meeting between Saint Francis of Assisi and Sultan al-Malik al-Kāmil.
