Victorian Council of Churches (VCC)

Update on activities2017 VCC sq300

The VCC is currently working in the following areas:  

  • helping Faith Communities across the State become aware of and compliant with the Child Safe Standards. 
  • exploring developing a Facebook presence to increase the exposure of VCC and raise awareness of the activities of the Council
  •  in discussion around the forthcoming ‘End of Life Legislation’ with a view to hearing all the Member Churches’ thoughts and looking to find ways of getting the Churches’ voices heard in the public discussions. 
  • committment to helping all Churches respond positively to the outcomes and recommendations of the State Royal Commission into Domestic Violence. The Council is working on developing material for all churches to use. 
  • the VCC Emergency Ministry (VCCEM) team has been  active in the last few month. To find our more about the VCCEM and it’s activities vist their website
