NATSIEC Prayer Diary

This resource has been produced by NATSIEC to support ecumenical prayer and partnerships between Indigenous Australians and between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

The Prayer Diary includes possible readings, prayer concerns for each day and reflections, marking where appropriate key dates in the Indigenous calendar.  At present the aim is to produce this on a monthly basis - welcoming contributions also from others.  Each month will have a special focus for prayer - eg in January, Indigenous church and other bodies with a national focus; February - NSW Indigenous communities; March - Queensland and so forth...

(Please note -  the readings are taken from the Anglican Lectionary for 2005 and 2006, so the readings for each Sunday should follow the ecumenical pattern for 2006, but there may be some differences from other denominational traditions for other days of the week)

We hope very much that this may be a useful contribution to your own work and prayers.

Please do send NATSIEC any suggestions for specific prayer concerns for future months, and any helpful reflections which it would be good to share - and feel free to let others know about this also.
