UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII)

NATSIEC, through the World Council of Churches has had a representative at this forum every year since its inception in 2002.

4th Session of the UNPFII, 2005

The NATSIEC representatives at this forum were Peter Smith and Lynette Riley-Mundine. The theme was the Millennium Development Goals and Indigenous Peoples with a focus on Goal 1 to Eradicate Poverty and Extreme Hunger, and Goal 2 to achieve universal primary education.
