I am a Torres Strait Islander. I am a Bishop in the Anglican Church in the Torres Strait region of the North Queensland Diocese. My wife is Sania May Mabo and I have 2 sons Clifford Saibo Mabo and Ganomi Palai Mabo. I have done much work in the Torres Strait region to bring unity to the church that split from us. I pray that God will minister to us.

Member of the UCA for approx 30 years.  Music & song leader in local congregation.  National UAICC Women’s rep.  Secretary of Calvary Presbytery.

Director of Yalga-binbi Institute for Community Development. 

 

Personal Commitment:

Married to Shayne with 4 children and 7 grandchildren. 

Involved in various community & traditional/cultural commitments relating to broader family issues.

 

Bishop James Leftwich

I am married to Lala, we have 2 children (girl and boy). They both have a girl and a boy each. I am Aboriginal and Lala is a Torres Strait Islander. My ministry is to Aboriginal people by and large and some Torres Strait Islanders living on the mainland. My role is Assistant Bishop of North Queensland, Director of Aboriginal Ministry in the North Queensland diocese and National Aboriginal Bishop to the Aboriginal community in Australia.

10th April 2008 - NATSIEC is sad to announce the passing of Revd. Len Wallam. May he rest in peace. 

I am Pastor Len Wallam. I work for the Churches of Christ in W.A. Southwest. I pastor the Bunbury Aboriginal Christian Fellowship, the Noongar people of the Southwest.

I am the Indigenous Ministry Consultant with The Salvation Army. I live and work out of Moree NSW with much of our work being with the Gamilaroy people. My work has a strong emphasis on building capacity within Indigenous communities to be all that God as destined for them, with a particular focus on youth and children.
