NSW Disaster Recovery Chaplaincy - Murwillumbah Training

Disaster Recovery logo bdrx150The NSW Disaster Recovery Chaplaincy Network (DRCN) is conducting a two-day training seminar for ministers and faith community leaders in Murwillumbah on 25-26 July.

After the recent flooding event, Chaplains in the NSW Disaster Recovery Chaplaincy Network (DRCN) were heavily involved in the Lismore response and recovery process. They travelled into areas along the Tweed, working with the SES, Red Cross and Disaster Welfare Services. A shortage of locally trained chaplains in Murwillumbah, Kyogle and other areas along the Tweed was identified, and the need to train more chaplains from the Lismore/Casino area has been recognised.

For information download the flyer and feel free to distribute this among your networks.

To access the application and nomination forms go to the DRCN Dropbox folder.
