"A FAIR GO FOR WOMEN IN AUSTRALIA AND AROUND THE WORLD"
ASSEMBLING AT 11 AM AT TOWN HALL & MARCHING AT NOON TO MARTIN PLACE
Join the march with your family, relatives, friends and colleagues ! Maybe your group/organisation can take a stall ?
IWD Banners will go up in Sydney from 28 February to 14 March : Martin Place, Circular Quay, Market and King and Phillip Sts
after the march there will be:
- Tai chi and artists
- speakers covering a Fair Go for women - with the introduction of a Pay Equity Bureau
- speakers on a Fair Go for Aboriginal and younger women
- speakers on abortion and what is not “fair” for women in Australian law
- sharing the experience of women in other countries, such as the murder of women in Mexico's Juarez city

Naw-Ruz (Baha'i) (All Day)
For members of the Baha'i faith, one of the most significant festivals is the celebration of Naw-Ruz (pronounced naw-rooz), or New Year. For nineteen days leading up to Naw-Ruz (constituting the Baha'i month of `Ala'), Baha'i adherents observe a sunrise to sunset fast.
