CofC Social Justice Network Short Course 'Journey Into Justice' - Part One (8:15 PM - 10:15 PM)

The Churches of Christ Vic/Tas Social Justice Network has put together a short course in local justice, ‘Journey into Justice’, which will run over five Thursday evenings starting on January 28 2010.

“Have you ever wondered about the place of social justice in the biblical framework?  Come along to the ‘Journey into Justice’ and find out where it fits and what role you can play.”

2010 Victorian Bushfire Ecumenical Service (1:00 PM)

The Victorian Council of Churches and Chair of the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority are holding a multi-faith service to remember the people and communities impacted by the Victorian bushfires of early 2009.

This service is open to all and is timed to show support for recovering communities who will be reflecting in their own way at local levels.

Ecumenical Jazz Service (10:30 AM)
Every year for the Echuca-Moama Riverboats, Food, Wine & Jazz Festival, some of the local churches combine for an outdoor gospel service in the heart of the festival precinct.  This year the featured band is the Maryborough Traditional Jazz Ensemble playing tunes such as "What a friend", "Just a closer walk with thee" and closing with our standard "When the saints go marching in".  The service is on Sunday 21 February at Hopwood Gardens Echuca at 9.30am (bring a chair and hat).  The festival runs all weekend.
