• Ecumenical Program Officer

The position provides a unique opportunity for a creative individual to work with Churches and social justice agencies on key global issues and challenges.

The purpose of the Program Officer position is to enhance and develop the involvement of churches in NSW and the ACT in ecumenical overseas aid and development partnerships and to engage the churches in shared action on issues of justice.

The Programs Officer has responsibility for strengthening support within Australian churches for the Christmas Bowl appeal and associated regular giving, refugee and other related programs. These activities are administered by the National Council of Churches in Australia (NCCA) and are the ecumenical means by which Australian churches support aid and development programs in many parts of the world.

A new era is opening up with the development of fresh emphases and partnership directions under the soon-to-be launched new branding of this work. Therefore, this position offers some new and challenging opportunities to be involved in this important aspect of the church's mission.

The position is full-time, based in the Sydney CBD.
