The November 2010 NCCA Executive meeting supported the following self-funded initiatives.
These initiatives can be described as resourcing and sustaining holistic Safe Church ministry training and implementation help.
i) Going National Initiative: Beginning January 2010 with an expanded product range and increased membership has meant we are well on the way to being a truly national agreement by the end of 2011.
ii) Safe as Churches? 5 Conference: The SCTA will administer the conference for the Safe Church Project in August 2011.
iii) Quality Workshop Presenter Initiative 2011: The SCTA will implement a process for ongoing ‘quality control’ measures for Safe Church workshop presenters. This includes co-endorsing, with our Training Partners, quality Safe Church workshop presenters. In so doing we will provide SCTA members, with ongoing assurance that presenters will be of a high standard. We also hope this will encourage, support and equip existing Safe Church workshop presenters.
iv) www.safechurches.org.au: The hub for Safe Church resources, as well as information about the SCTA. In 2011 this will also be the porthole for the SCTA national training database.
v) Resourcing members: resourcing SCTA members with their policy, procedures, training materials, presentations and mentoring / training of workshop presenters.
vi) Coordination and communication: Coordinate and communicate cross-denominational workshops and events.
