Prayers

God of Justice,
your children in the Philippines
have known and are exposed to suffering,
poverty, discrimination,
violations of their
right to live in dignity for
generations and generations.
Please have mercy on us and
let us feel and live a life of
peace and integrity.
May your Spirit and
Light shine upon us
that we would be able to
follow your path.
Amen.

Lord God, my prayer is for my country with its wealth, beauty and space;
for the many refugees seeking asylum, seeking peace and protection.
God, Australia has such beauty and peace to offer;
yet we selfishly don’t open our heart to you, to your people.
The suffering of refugees in my country must be known and
people must treat people like people. Amen.
