Commitment of Love and Service
Praise and Thanksgiving
(Meditative music is played before singing ”Blessed be your name”)
Blessed be your name in the land that is plentiful. Where your streams of abundance flow blessed be your name. And blessed be your name when I’m found in the desert place Though I walk through the wilderness blessed be your name Every blessing you pour out I’ll turn back to praise And when the darkness closes in, Lord still I will say Blessed be your name of the Lord blessed be your name Blessed be your name of the Lord blessed be your glorious name [Repeat]
(Moments of silent individual prayers. After praying everyone hold hands with their neighbours then read the collective prayer.)
All: Oh Holy God. Thank you for your everlasting love upon us. You are our God, our shelter and the strength of our lives. You gave us youthfulness and power to lead real changes in our daily lives. May you be with us all the time and protect our steps towards our vision. Please send us your Spirit and lead us to your goodness. Amen.
Prayer of Confession
We come to you our Lord, though we are not worthy of your love for we are sinners. We confess to you the times we have wasted, the effects and hard work of our parents to provide for our education. Forgive O Lord, the policymakers for they disregard the value of our cultural identity and the burden they impose on the less privilege young people who experience severe difficulties in accessing education. All of these for the sake of money, business and unfair trade. This we pray, Amen.
