  • Thursdays In Black
Thursdays in Black is part of an international movement to demand a world without rape and violence. It has originated from Women in Black groups, which have formed over the past twenty years in Argentina, Bosnia and Israel. Wearing black on Thursdays or wearing a Thursdays in Black badge is a way of protesting against domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, incest, murder, female infanticide, genital mutilation, sexual harassment, discrimination, sex trafficking. The kit is a useful resource for small groups, and includes a study guide and badge.

This kit is available for sale from The Uniting Church, 22 Pitt Street Sydney, phone 8267 4200. Kits sell for $5.00 and the badge alone for $1.00. The study guide may be downloaded free from http://assembly.uca.org.au/TD/gospel/resources/.
