Programmes and Events

The Commission works with other groups to develop, organise and promote seminars, conferences, and workshops which model inclusive patterns of Christian life.  The Commission organises an annual event in September as well as other seminars, workshops and programmes.

The Commission was instrumental in initiating the 'Safe As Churches?' conference 2004 which enabled a cross-section of Australian churches to examine cooperatively the issue of child abuse within church contexts. This is now a separate Working Group of the NCCA.

Members of the Gender Commission meet four times each year. The current Commission meets in Sydney. For information, please contact the Gender Commission on phone 02 9299 2215, or email.
