Week of Prayer for Christian Unity 2011 (5-12 June 2011)

This year resources have been prepared by Christians in Jerusalem and adapted for use in Australia. It is hoped that congregations across Australia will find creative ways to celebrate the week this year. One suggestion has been to celebrate the week as the Churches in the Middle East do. They have a different activity in each church during the week. This years resources are available NOW

One Baptism Towards Mutual Recognition

This is a study text produced by the WCC Faith and Order Commission it seeks to continue the direction of the 1982 Baptism Eucharist and Ministry. It explores the close relation between baptism and the believer's life-long growth into Christ as a basis for greater mutual recognition of baptism. The study text is offered to the churches in the hope that fresh perspectives will help the churches to clarify the interrelated challenges of the mutual recognition and ecclesial recognition.  This document is available as WCC Faith and Order Paper No 210.
