Christian World Service is a longstanding member of the Australian Council for International Development. ACFID represents over ninety Australian aid and development agencies (categorised as non-government organizations, or NGOs). It provides a forum and a sounding board for issues facing these NGOs. It liases with the government, business and other sectors in relevant areas. It helps develop policies regarding matters including privacy legislation, governance and a code of conduct.


Christian World Service Submission to the Draft Charities Bill 2003

The Board of Taxation has requested submissions to a Draft Bill for an Act to define charities. While Christian World Service supports much of this Draft Bill, there was some concern expressed regarding the role of advocacy in charitable work.
